One Futures Bet A Day For NFL Countdown: 200-1 Rushing Touchdown Parlay

OVER Rushing Touchdown Parlay: Zamir White (4.5), Lamar Jackson (4.5), Najee Harris (6.5), James Cook (5.5), Bijan Robinson (6.5), Jayden Daniels (5.5), Anthony Richardson (7.5), Travis Etienne (6.5) (+19993 on DraftKings)

It’s the end of August, the last day, which means this is the last NFL futures article as we inch so much closer to the NFL kickoff. Why not go out on a high note? This future is a parlay with a big payout that will be fun to root for all through the year. Sure, one injury could derail us. However, we’re not going to worry about that as we root for these star players to continue doing what they do.

This is a fun parlay – partially due to its payout being almost 200 to 1. We start with Zamir White who takes over as the Raiders starting running back. I think the Raiders will be better than most people expect, and White is a stud. While he only had one touchdown last year, he was only the starting running back for four games. He should hit over by the first half of the season.

Lamar Jackson is a rushing quarterback despite every year the Ravens’ organization saying they’re going to pass the ball more. He’s gone over 4.5 in every season that he’s played over 13 games. As long he stays healthy, he should be able to hit this number easily. Last year he had five rushing touchdowns in 16 games.

The rest of the parlay

I’ve talked Najee Harris up all offseason on Old-Fashioned Football. The Steelers are set up to run the ball early and often. Despite Jaylen Warren being present and carrying some of the workload, I still think this is Najee’s offense. Since he entered the league in 2021, no running back has more carries than Najee. He’s also gone over 6.5 rushing touchdowns in every season. That includes last year when he had eight.

The Bills lost a lot in the offseason on offense. However, they didn’t lose James Cook. Despite only having two rushing touchdowns in each of the previous two years, I think the Bills will need to rely on the rush more. That will start and end with James Cook. Yes, Ray Davis may vulture a couple of touchdowns. However, Cook is the man on this offense. He’ll be involved in multiple aspects of their offense and 5.5 feels easy.

If you want to hear my thoughts on Bijan’s rushing totals, just go to yesterday’s write-up. However, long story short, better offense, better coaching, more Bijan. He had four last year in what felt like inefficient usage at times. They also had a much worse offense and the pass should be respected more now that Kirk Cousins is in town. Isn’t this one of the best NFL Futures to root for all year?

I’d like to talk about Jayden Daniels and Anthony Richardson in the same breath. They’re a similar style of quarterback that can run the ball well. Health will be the main factor for both of them. In only four games last year, Richardson had four rushing touchdowns. Jayden Daniels already scored a rushing touchdown in the preseason. These guys are both going to run wild.

The last guy to talk about is Travis Etienne. Etienne is coming off an 11-rushing touchdown season. Not much has changed for the Jaguars and I don’t expect much to change. In order to keep Trevor Lawrence healthy, they’ll need to run the ball with Etienne. Good luck, 200-1, LET IT RIDE!
