One Futures Bet A Day For NFL Countdown: Regular Season Rushing Yards Leader
Bijan Robinson Most Rushing Yards in Regular Season (+1200 on Draft Kings)
The next bet targets a guy whose season felt like a little bit of a disappointment last year. Sure, Bijan Robinson ran for 976 yards; however, his usage felt a little inefficient compared to what it could be. Not to mention, teams were able to key in on the run with Desmond Ridder throwing the ball. That may not be the case this year, and I like Bijan Robinson to have the most regular-season rushing yards at +1200.
Here’s Why It Hits
Atlanta has experienced new coaching, and I think they’re ready to play some smashmouth football. Last year, the rushing leader was Christian McCaffrey, with 1459 rushing yards. This year, Bijan has already told us that the coaches plan on using him like San Fran uses CMC. That is good news for anybody taking Bijan Robinson futures bets.
Bijan finished 191 yards behind second-placed runner Derrick Henry in 2023. He did that on 66 fewer carries. Had Bijan had as many carries as Christian McCaffrey last year, at his average yardage, he would have finished with 1240 yards. Given another year in the NFL, plus adding a quarterback who has a down-field threat passing game, should elevate Robinson’s play.
He’ll have to fight off guys like Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams, CMC, James Cook, and the aforementioned Derrick Henry. However, he’s a young running back with a ton of talent who should be able to answer the call. Beating Christian McCaffrey will be the biggest challenge. However, with as much usage as he has had, the 49ers may back off a little to preserve his legs. At +1200, this bet is too good to pass up.
