One Futures Bet A Day For NFL Countdown: Zeke Rushing TOuchdowns

Ezekiel Elliott HIGHER than 5.5 Rushing Touchdowns (Underdog Fantasy)

Today’s bet focuses on the returning hero. Okay, maybe that’s not exactly what this is. Ezekiel Elliott returns to the Cowboys after a year hiatus. After deciding to roll with Tony Pollard as their RB1, it didn’t work out great, and now the Cowboys have brought Zeke back. Even though he’s listed as the RB1 currently, there’s a lot of preseason and training camp buzz that Rico Dowdle will outgain him in yardage.

Cowboys red zone running back

It’s okay if he doesn’t get the most yards on the team. Our bet doesn’t have anything to do with yardage. This bet is for Zeke to fall into the end zone higher than 5.5 times. It’s over on Underdog Fantasy and this is one I feel extremely confident in. The books not having Zeke doesn’t concern me. Talk of Dalvin Cook wanting to play for the Cowboys doesn’t concern me either.

Last year, Zeke was a backup on the Patriots and didn’t see many meaningful snaps until Rhamdonre Stevenson was injured. Even in limited red zone action, he was able to score three touchdowns.

Prior to that, on the Cowboys, Zeke never had a season where he didn’t score six or more touchdowns. In 2021 and 2022, he scored double-digit touchdowns. In those regards, it’s hard to say he’s washed since that was just two and three years ago.

Now, returning to the Cowboys, Zeke will have a crack at the top running back job. They don’t have the same offensive line or same offense. However, the Cowboys should still be able to move the ball down the field. When they do, it’s Zeke who will get the short-yardage and goal-line carries. Getting to six touchdowns again seems very likely for a guy who feels he has a lot to prove to this organization.
