One Futures Bet A Day For NFL Countdown: Cole Kmet Receiving Touchdowns
Cole Kmet Higher than 3.5 Receiving Touchdowns (Underdog Fantasy)
Our NFL futures bet for today points itself toward the Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet. His number on Underdog Fantasy is 3.5 receiving touchdowns, meaning he’d only need four to surpass this. I know the Bears have made a lot of changes on the offense over the offseason. However, I’m not necessarily worried about Cole Kmet for multiple reasons.
It was encouraging to see Cole Kmet one of the players immediately hanging out with Caleb Williams once he arrived in Chicago. Building that rapport right away is going to go a long way. Kmet is still a young guy, only 25 years of age. That’s beneficial when bonding with the young gun that Chicago drafted.
I know the number for Kmet is low because they not only have DJ Moore now but Keenan Allen. They also drafted Rome Odunze and brought in another tight end to target in the red zone, Gerald Everett. Don’t get me wrong; I think those guys are going to take away from some of Kmet’s production. However, I think you’re going to see it more in receptions and yards.
In the past two seasons, Kmet has exceeded four touchdowns. In 2022, he caught seven touchdowns, and he had six last year. Despite the fact that new weapons have arrived, I expect Caleb Williams and Cole Kmet to connect multiple times this year. Yes, there are new weapons, but this is also an offense that should be in scoring position more often.
