Bojay Filimoeatu Inherits A Defensive Reset
Bojay Filimoeatu takes over the San Jose State defense as the new coordinator. First, the unit ranked 99th nationally in total defense a season ago. Then the scoring defense finished 121st, the weakest mark on the roster. Also the pass defense sat 115th. Because the deck lists no returning defensive starters, Filimoeatu rebuilds almost from scratch. The group returns just 23 percent of its production. From there, the Mountain West slate will test a brand-new front seven.
