College Football Pick Of The Day (November 7th): NCAA Week 10 Spread Pick
For today’s college football Week 10 pick of the day, I’m looking back to the road trip for 19th-ranked Iowa as they head to Northwestern. I already gave out under 46 points earlier this week. That’s dropped to 43.5 now. Now I’m taking Iowa -1.5. The Hawkeyes have been one of the season’s steadiest teams under Kirk Ferentz. They aren’t just ranked. They’re also elite on defense, allowing just 12.5 points per game.
They’re also holding teams to just 79 rushing yards per game. Northwestern’s starting quarterback is out. Therefore, Northwestern will have to try and run the ball. Tha twon’t be possible against this Iowa defense.
Northwestern may be tough at home and explosive under Chip Kelly. However, missing Aidan Chiles with an upper-body injury and starting Nicco Marchiol changes everything. Iowa’s defense should bottle up the Wildcats, especially without their dual-threat quarterback. The line has moved in Iowa’s direction with the injury news, but not far enough.
The Pick: Iowa -1.5
