Arkansas Razorbacks 2026 Team Preview | The College Football Experience (Ep. 3030)

Arkansas 2026 preview and SEC win total breakdown

Arkansas 2026 Preview

The College Football Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network continues its 138 college football team preview series with the Arkansas Razorbacks 2026 Season Preview. Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) & Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac) break down the 2026 Arkansas Razorbacks roster and what to expect in the SEC this season. Can first-year head coach Ryan Silverfield fix a program that went 2-10 and lost all seven of its one-score games in 2025? And is redshirt sophomore KJ Jackson the answer at quarterback after making just one start, at Missouri, a season ago?

Does new coordinator Tim Cramsey keep an offense that ranked 13th nationally in total offense rolling into 2026? Can Ron Roberts repair a defense that finished 122nd in total defense and 129th in scoring defense a year ago? Do returning starters like CJ Brown, Jaden Platt and Quincy Rhodes Jr. give Arkansas enough with only 55 percent of production back on each side of the ball? Can the Razorbacks survive an SEC slate that runs through Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Texas and LSU before the finale in Fayetteville? And where’s the betting value on the Arkansas Razorbacks win total, SEC odds and College Football Playoff chances? We talk it all and more on this episode of The College Football Experience.

Ryan Silverfield Takes Over A 2-10 Program

This Arkansas 2026 preview opens with a brand-new voice on the sideline. Ryan Silverfield takes over in Fayetteville, and the deck rates his hot seat a 1 out of 10 as a first-year coach sitting at 0-0. First, the Razorbacks went 2-10 a season ago. Then the losses piled up in the worst way, because Arkansas dropped all seven of its games decided by 10 points or less. So Silverfield inherits a roster that finished closer than the record looks, and the fixes start with closing out games.

KJ Jackson And An Offense Changing Hands

Arkansas ranked 13th nationally in total offense in 2025, with scoring offense at 23rd and rushing offense at 28th. New coordinator Tim Cramsey now runs the room. First, redshirt sophomore KJ Jackson steps in at quarterback after just one career start, a 126-yard, one-touchdown outing against Missouri. Then the supporting cast leans on returning starters like receiver CJ Brown and tight end Jaden Platt. Meanwhile the group brings back only 55 percent of its production, so Jackson takes over a system still finding its footing. Because the line returns pieces up front, the run game gives him a floor to build on.

Ron Roberts Inherits A Defense That Must Improve

Ron Roberts takes over an Arkansas defense that has nowhere to go but up. First, the unit ranked 122nd nationally in total defense a season ago. Then the scoring defense finished 129th, the weakest number on the roster. Quincy Rhodes Jr. anchors the line and Bradley Shaw returns at linebacker, so Roberts has a couple of veterans to build around. Because that group brings back 55 percent of its production, the reset is real but not total. From there, the transfer haul has to close the gap in a hurry in the SEC.

The Schedule, The Hogs And The Win Total

Arkansas opens with a tune-up against North Alabama before the schedule turns mean. First, a road trip to Utah tests the Razorbacks early. Then Georgia comes to Fayetteville and Tulsa lurks as a trap game. From there, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Missouri, Auburn, South Carolina, Texas and LSU fill out one of the toughest slates in the sport. What does a Saturday feel like inside Razorback Stadium when the Hogs are rolling and the crowd calls the pigs? The deck sets the Arkansas win total at 4.5, with the Razorbacks at plus 2000 to win the SEC and plus 6500 to make the College Football Playoff. So the hosts weigh the under against a first-year staff and a brutal SEC draw.
