Additionally they discuss whether or not they’re firing up the Jag Wagon for one last ride.
Jacksonville Jaguars Preview
The Jacksonville Jaguars were a playoff team in 2025 after going 13-4 and winning the AFC South. Has Trevor Lawrence officially arrived as a superstar quarterback? Are the Jaguars a team to be scared of? They are next up in our preview of all 32 NFL teams. Let’s dive into the 2026 Jacksonville Jaguars preview.
Jacksonville was a very surprising team in 2025, unless you are an SGPN fan. Sports Gambling Podcast co-host Ryan Kramer led the “Jag Wagon” charge. CJ Sullivan and I were all aboard the Jag Wagon, preaching to bet on this team and Trevor Lawrence in the preseason. Those bets paid off with a 13-4 season and an AFC South title. They gave the Buffalo Bills everything they could in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, but fell just short, losing 27-24.
It was Liam Cohen’s first season as the head coach, and he made an immediate impact on Lawrence and the team as a whole. Their offense was incredible, but their defense was elite. Anthony Campanile’s group had the #1 rushing defense (85.6 yards per game) in the league. Set franchise records with 31 takeaways and 22 interceptions. They were eighth in the league in scoring difference (19.8 points allowed per game). Luckily for Jacksonville, after several head coaching interviews, Campanile returned to the team for 2026. Offensive coordinator Grant Udinski also returns, keeping continuity throughout the coaching staff.
Travis Etienne left the team for the New Orleans Saints in free agency. Leaving a big hole in the backfield for the Jaguars. They lost a few defensive pieces from that elite defense. Including Emmanuel Ogbah, Greg Newsome II, Andrew Wingard, and Dawuane Smoot. In free agency, they brought in Chris Rodriguez Jr to help fill in the running back position. They re-signed edge/linebacker Dennis Gardeck. In the NFL Draft, they had no first-round pick after the Travis Hunter trade last season. With their first selection in the second round, they took tight end Nate Boerkircher. – Cody Zeeb (@Husker_Zeeb)

Jaguars to Make the Playoffs (-115)
I’m going to keep this really simple. A team that went 13-4 last year, and all they need to do is make the playoffs in 2026. This Jaguars team is for real. Liam Cohen appears to be the real deal as a coach; keeping the coaching staff intact is huge for the team. We’ve known for a long time Trevor Lawrence was going to be good; now he’s finally broken out. This way you don’t have to sweat a win total; you don’t have to sweat the division title, which Houston might steal. Just make the playoffs again!
