The Los Angeles Rams are building a powerhouse; they appear to have all the chips in for 2026 for one last run with Matthew Stafford at the helm. Can they capitalize and take home the Lombardi, for the second time in their home venue, which is set to host Super Bowl LXI? As we near the end of our 32 NFL team previews, the 2026 Los Angeles Rams preview is up next.

Los Angeles Rams Preview

The Rams were on the verge in 2025. Matthew Stafford had a career year after preseason back concerns. At age 37, he put together 4,707 passing yards, 46 touchdowns, just eight interceptions, had a 109.2 passer rating, and led the league in passing yards and touchdown passes. Ultimately, he beat out New England’s Drake Maye to capture his first NFL MVP award.

They fell just short of winning the NFC West and then made their playoff run. They took down the Panthers in a close one at Carolina. Then they went into the hostile confines of Soldier Field in Chicago for the NFC Divisional Round. It took overtime, but they ended a great season by the Chicago Bears. In the NFC Championship, they played against their division rival Seattle Seahawks in one of the toughest stadiums in the NFL, the home of the 12th man. The Rams fell to the Seahawks 31-27 to end their season.

Over the offseason, the Rams pushed all the chips in. They traded for cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs in a trade that included their first-round NFL Draft selection. Another Kansas City corner, Jaylen Watson, was brought in as a free-agent signing. They re-signed Kyren Williams, Kam Curl, David Quessenberry, and Quentin Lake. Then, the league-shattering blockbuster trade. Sending Jared Verse and a handful of assets to the Cleveland Browns for game-breaking pass rusher Myles Garrett. Rumors of Aaron Donald’s return linger, and I believe he’ll sign with the team before the season starts. – Cody Zeeb (@Husker_Zeeb)

This is one of the easiest bets on the futures board this season. This Los Angeles Rams team is absolutely loaded. They’ve gone quite literally all-in for this run this season. Will it be enough for the Super Bowl? That’s a tall task any year. But just to win 12 games, like they already did last season? Easy day, Rams over!
