New York Giants Preview
Between the heat wave and smoke across the United States right now, there isn’t much better to be doing than previewing the NFL season! Our team-by-team NFL previews of all 32 franchises continue next. Besides the wild debate between our Giant and Eagle fan takes from the hosts of the Sports Gambling Podcast, the Giants have had one of the most intriguing off-seasons of any franchise. Let’s dive in and take a look at this 2026 New York Giants Preview.
The New York Giants went just 3-14 in 2025. It marked the end of the Brian Daboll experience; he was fired and has since taken the offensive coordinator role with the Tennessee Titans. The record was bad, but a lot of really good things came out of 2025 for the New York Football Giants. Daboll’s firing led to the hiring of Super Bowl-winning head coach John Harbaugh, whose tenure in Baltimore had run its course.
Jaxson Dart established himself as THE guy for this franchise at quarterback. In his 14 games, he threw for over 2,200 yards and rushed for almost 500 more. He still needs to learn how to protect himself, but once he does, he proved he can be dangerous. Cam Skattebo burst onto the scene as a goofy, empty-headed guy, but his play on the field proved he has the potential to be an all-star. He totaled over 600 yards in just eight games before a tibia fracture and ankle dislocation sidelined him.
New York Giants 2026 Additions
Malik Nabers looked like he’d be a threat to be one of the top receivers in the league before an ACL tear disrupted his season. Luckily for New York, it was in Week 4, and the stud wide receiver should be good for the 2026 season. In addition to the coaching change, they brought in Isiah Likely, who followed Harbaugh from Baltimore. Giving Dart yet another weapon in the passing game. Linebacker Tremaine Edwards came over to help a defensive unit that struggled in 2025.
The team traded Dexter Lawrence to appease his trade request, giving them two top 10 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. They selected linebacker Arvell Reese from Ohio State with the fifth overall pick. And offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa of Miami. Between the Harbaugh addition, a tremendous upgrade at head coach. And the continued development of Jackson Dart, the Giants could quickly be a scary team in 2026. – Cody Zeeb (@Husker_Zeeb)
Cody’s New York Giants Best Bet
Over 7.5 Wins (-110)
I’m very high on this New York Giants team in 2026. Already having an established quarterback who has proven his worth is huge. Bringing in a head coach with 193 NFL wins and a Super Bowl Championship to his name is even bigger. This is a team that’s absolutely loaded with offensive talent. Between Dart, Nabers, Skattebo, and Likely, they’ll have no problem moving the ball and scoring points. If Harbaugh can get this defense pointed in the right direction, they’ll be scary fast. You can get them at 35/1 to be the NFC Champions, a longshot bet that’s worth grabbing now. Just in case. New York could be that Patriots-type team that shocks the world in 2026.
