The Seattle Seahawks are still celebrating their Super Bowl LX championship from February. After defeating the New England Patriots, the team underwent massive changes in the off-season. Can they stay atop the league, or were they a one-hit wonder? The reigning champions are next up as we near the end of our 32 NFL team previews. Let’s take a look at the 2026 Seattle Seahawks preview.

Seattle Seahawks Recap

Seattle rolled the dice and signed Sam Darnold to a big deal after moving on from Geno Smith. Darnold put together the best season of his career and led the team to a 14-3 regular season, winning the toughest division in all of football, the NFC West. This team didn’t just win games either; they blew teams out all season long.

Darnold threw for over 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. Jaxson Smith-Njigba turned into a superstar seemingly overnight; he caught 119 passes for 1,793 yards and 19 touchdowns. Kenneth Walker remained a key part of the offense, especially once Zach Charbonett went down. Walker ran all over a tough Patriots defense in the Super Bowl, gaining 135 yards on the ground and becoming the first running back to win Super Bowl MVP since Terrell Davis of the Broncos in 1998. Their defense was a huge part of their success, holding teams to just 17.2 points per game.

Their departure list reads like a novel. When a team is this good and wins it all, star players cash out for a big payday from other teams, and that’s just what happened. The team lost key players in Kenneth Walker, Coby Bryant, Riq Woolen, and Boye Mafe. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak also hit the road, taking the head coaching gig for the Las Vegas Raiders.

They also re-signed some of their key pieces, opting not to bring in a ton of free agents. Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Rasheed Shaheed, Josh Jobe, and Drake Thomas were among them. In the Draft, they selected Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price with the final selection of the first round. Price will replace their Super Bowl MVP Walker and start immediately as Charbonett continues to heal up. – Cody Zeeb (@Husker_Zeeb)

Seahawks Under 10.5 Wins (-105)

Count me out on this Seattle team in 2026. They had an amazing season last year that culminated in a Super Bowl title, and nobody can take that away. But losing Klint Kubiak will be a huge blow to this offense. Losing some of the key pieces they lost in the offseason. Then add in that they are in the toughest division in football. It’s going to be hard to repeat coming off a Super Bowl hangover. This isn’t saying they can’t be a 10-win team and make the playoffs. I just don’t see them getting back to 11. Call Sam Darnold Vanilla Ice if you want, but I think we heard his one hit last season.
