AFC East Preview Recap
Sean Green (@SeanTGreen) and Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric) preview the 2026 AFC East, breaking down the win totals and division odds for all four teams. The guys give out their favorite bet on each team, then close it out with a division lock.
Halfway through the divisional previews, and this is the one that gets settled early. Sean and Ryan both see a two-team race that is really a one-team race, and when the locks came around at the end they both landed on the same side. So Buffalo runs this thing. The four win totals tell the story: the Bills open at 10.5, the Patriots match them at 10.5, then the floor drops out with the Jets at 5.5 and the Dolphins at 4.5. Both hosts spent the show hunting value underneath the Bills, and that is where the real arguments live.
Buffalo Runs The 2026 AFC East
The Bills sit at 10.5 wins with Josh Allen, and both hosts are over. Ryan’s favorite bet in the whole division is Buffalo to win the AFC East, a line that has crept from -125 at their first preview down to -136 at the green book. He loves the Jim Leonard hire at defensive coordinator and expects the offense to play faster with the defense forcing more turnovers. He cannot find seven losses anywhere on the schedule. But Sean would rather get paid on the scoreboard. He takes the Bills over 450.5 team points. That total sits more than 50 points below a Buffalo offense that put up 525 in 2024 and 481 last season, and the coaching tweaks are built to make them score more. When the locks hit, Ryan rides Buffalo over 10.5 wins and Sean rides the points over. Same team, two different doors.
The Splits In The Middle Of The Division
Miami is where the two of them break apart. The win total has already cratered from 4.5 toward 3.5 as the camp reports pile up, and Ryan is off it completely. He starts the Dolphins 0-8, took another win back live on the show, and his best bet is Miami for fewest wins in the league at plus-275. Still, Sean is the only man in the content world higher than the market on Miami. He is on Malik Willis Island, liked what he saw from Willis in the preseason game, and books the alt of Miami over 5.5 wins at plus-220. Ryan told him he cannot warn him off it enough. Sean is not bailing.
Then the Jets flip the sides. Ryan has New York at 7-10, comfortably over the 5.5 total, betting on Geno Smith slinging it with the best collection of weapons he has had since peak Seattle. His favorite is Garrett Wilson for most receiving yards in the AFC East at 10-1, with Geno most interceptions as the angle he keeps circling back to. Sean has the Jets dead last at 4-13, does not trust Aaron Glenn as a head coach, and takes New York fourth in the division at plus-170.
New England Sits On The Under
New England is the one team both guys agree on. The Patriots are at 10.5 wins with Drake Maye, and both hosts are under. Sean has them 8-9 and Ryan 9-8. Both circle the offensive line as the leak that sinks an otherwise talented roster, and both point to the AJ Brown drama and the Mike Vrabel noise hanging over the building. Sean fades Brown straight up with the under on his 1,124.5 receiving yards. Ryan likes Trevion Henderson over 1,000 rushing yards at plus-340 off a 911-yard rookie season and has the Pats missing the playoffs. Neither one trusts last year’s record after New England beat a soft slate of quarterbacks to get there.
Four teams, and the guys only truly split on two of them. Buffalo is the class of the division and both locks say so. New England is the fade both hosts share. Everything worth arguing about sits in the middle, where Ryan is buying the Jets and burying the Dolphins while Sean does the exact opposite. That is the 2026 AFC East in a sentence: everyone knows who wins it, and nobody agrees on anything else.
