Iowa laying 3.5 at home was the side all three guys liked, and the case for it starts with its loss to Minnesota. Wisconsin visits Iowa on Saturday, October 31 at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET in Iowa City, IA. Iowa was a 3.5-point favorite with a total of 36.5 when the guys taped on October 27, and they put it on the College Football Picks Week 9 episode.

Iowa was a 3.5-point favorite over Wisconsin with a total of 36.5 when the guys taped on October 27. Iowa was -160 on the money line.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Iowa -3.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Iowa -3.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Iowa -3.5
The guys did not treat the Minnesota loss as a collapse. They said Iowa was moving the ball and the turnovers killed it, that Minnesota got up for the game, and that if Iowa holds onto the football Minnesota does not win. They did not expect Iowa to be that careless again at home, with Kirk Ferentz coming off a loss and the number only 3.5. The guys noted Iowa’s 50-35 record against the spread after a loss since 2003.
Colby was all in. He called it a lock and said Wisconsin’s offense is trash: only 200 yards against UCLA, a best day of 284 against Notre Dame, and a one-dimensional run game he thinks will have no answer for Iowa’s defense. His scoreline guesses ran from 14-3 to 20-3. He joked that Wisconsin is so predictable it should be running the triple option.
One of the guys added that Wisconsin wins ugly, and a team that wins ugly does not go into Iowa and beat another ugly winner. The number is small, and that was all he needed. Colby pointed to Iowa’s defense giving up only 13 to Minnesota and asked what Wisconsin’s team total could even be. The guys liked the under on it, and still wanted Iowa on the side.
