Our Picks

Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Georgia -11.5
Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Florida +11.5
Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Florida +11.5

Colby went first and took the points, though he said the Georgia loss to Auburn makes it tricky. He noted this is Florida’s first-year head coach against Kirby Smart for the first time, and that the gap between teams is so small in college football now that a number this big is a lot to lay. Florida is a good team, he said.

Sean ended up in the same place. It is a rivalry game, there will be plenty of Florida fans in Atlanta, and he is a little worried about Florida’s pass defense. But 11.5 is a lot for a pretty good Florida team, and he pointed out that Florida comes in off the big upset over Texas and that both teams have had a bye.

Ryan did not move. He called Florida inconsistent this year and said he does not like the venue change, which he reads as an advantage for Georgia. A Georgia team with extra time to stew on the Auburn loss is not what Florida wants to see, in his view, and he still cannot believe Georgia lost that game.
