Colby set the stakes first. He sees a clear path for Boston College, Duke and Virginia Tech to the ACC Championship, so he said this game has real weight, and he thinks Boston College should be 5-2 because Virginia Tech got fortunate against them. He also flagged Duke’s schedule: Virginia the week before and NC State on deck. Sean gave Bill O’Brien credit for getting Boston College off the mat.

Sean had no interest in laying a sizable number with Duke. He bought into the idea that Boston College was a bad team earlier in the year, and then watched it hang around against SMU, where it was outclassed on talent and still had a chance to win outright. He said he will happily take the points.

Ryan checked Circa and had Duke laying 7, which the guys agreed was a good number. He said he does not really like Duke either, but Duke is coming off extra rest and he does not know if Boston College is the same team on the road. He defaulted to the favorite, and said he agreed with the room too much on the previous slate and it hurt his record.
