Army vs Memphis Odds
Memphis was a 6.5-point favorite over Army with a total of 59.5 when the guys taped on October 27. Ryan put Army at +172 on the money line.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Army +6.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Army +6.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Memphis -6.5
Ryan opened with Army, and the guys spent a minute on Army’s game against Tulsa. Colby told it: Tulsa needed a 38-yard field goal to make it a 10-point game with two minutes left, missed it, and Army ended up blocking a punt. He called it a horrible beat if you had Tulsa.
Then Colby went back to Memphis. He called Memphis elite on the defensive line in the American, said the game is huge because Memphis needs it to get to the American championship, and laid the 6.5 with the Tigers.
Sean was not buying it. He has seen Memphis lay some big eggs this season, said Army just uglies up games and is good as a dog, and does not trust the Memphis defense to slow a triple option. Turnovers, he said, are a real thing for Memphis. He was surprised Colby went against a triple option team. Ryan pushed on the rest angle and asked Colby whether a little extra rest counted for something. Colby came back with back-to-back road games. Sean’s answer was that Army always shows up on the road.
