Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets

Start Time – 3:00 PM EST

Neither of these teams played on Friday, so they should be well-rested. Healthy, however, is a different story. The Charlotte Hornets are. The Milwaukee Bucks are definitely not. Giannis Antetokounmpo has a banged-up knee but should play on Saturday. Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis, however, will not (Lilliard a hard no, Portis a probably no).

Milwaukee has been needing Herculean performances from Giannis to squeak out victories, and that game plan can only take you so far. Based on their home-court advantage and their health, I have this game basically a pick ’em (Charlotte -0.5), so there’s value on the Hornets.

Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

Surprisingly there is also value on the defending champion Boston Celtics as a massive favorite over the Toronto Raptors. But that just speaks to how good the Celtics are and, conversely, how horrible the Raptors are.

Toronto was expected to be bad this season, but perhaps not worst in the league bad, which is where their 2-11 currently has them sitting. They are still without Bruce Brown, Scottie Barnes, and Immanuel Quickley, and have yet to win a game on the road (0-7). My numbers say Boston -23 (but I’d probably move that down a bit if Jrue Holiday doesn’t suit up on Saturday).
