SGPN Best Bet For April 2nd

Cincinnati Reds vs Philadelphia Phillies

Start Time – 6:40 pm EST

With the first MLB series of the year in the books, I’m ready to dip my toe into the baseball water and make some plays as my daily best bet. For Tuesday I’m going with a total in a National League game.

The Reds are off to a blistering start with their bats, holding the best OPS in the majors and winning two of their first three games, scoring 20 runs in the process. Philadelphia is 1-2, but managed to get 12 runs across the plate over those games.

Tomorrow’s starting pitcher for Cincinnati, Graham Ashcroft, has had a rocky start to his MLB career and a rough spring training this year. Philly’s Spencer Turnbull had a solid spring but has been mediocre throughout his career. All that being said, I think this game gets over the nine-run total it’s being pegged at for Tuesday.
