LSU travels to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to face Ole Miss on Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 PM ET, with LSU laying 2.5 as the road favorite and the total set at 58.5. The guys broke it down on the College Football Picks Week 3 episode.
LSU vs Ole Miss Odds
The current line has LSU -2.5 on the road, with the total sitting at 58.5.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): LSU -2.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): LSU -2.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): LSU -2.5
All three took LSU -2.5 on the road.
Lane Kiffin’s return frames the whole thing. He left Ole Miss for LSU, and the guys pointed out how personal it still feels on the Ole Miss side while LSU looks like it has moved on. Their read was that the pressure sits heavier on Ole Miss than on LSU, and that Kiffin thrives on being the story so his team can play as the secondary act.
Colby leaned LSU for the roster. He flagged that Pete Golding still has to prove the LSU defense, and that the pass defense did not look right against Louisville, which is a scary thing to carry into a Kiffin offense. He also liked the mirror-image angle, since Ole Miss OC John David Baker worked under Kiffin. Even so, he took LSU and laid the 2.5.
From there the guys agreed it likely comes down to quarterback play, whether Trinidad Chambliss or LSU’s passer throws the costly pick, and whether the Vaught-Hemingway crowd rattles the road team. They kept coming back to LSU’s talent and took the road favorite.
