“Give us the Saints.” That is where the guys finished this segment, and both Sean Green and Ryan Kramer took Saints -3 for Browns vs Saints, which kicks off Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM ET in New Orleans, LA. The Saints were 3-point favorites with a total of 42.5 when the guys taped on November 4. The whole argument is on the NFL Picks Week 9 episode.
Browns vs Saints Odds
The Saints were 3-point favorites over the Browns with a total of 42.5 when the guys taped on November 4.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Saints -3
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Saints -3
The pick starts with the schedule. As the guys laid it out, the Browns are playing their third straight road game, against a Saints team coming off its bye. The guys pointed out that the last team stuck in that exact spot was the Browns themselves, last year against the Steelers, and that it happened to the Browns in 2024 as well. Ryan called it an auto loss. At a very reasonable three-point spread, he said, jumping on the Saints is easy.
Sean got there through the Browns. He called them the most Jekyll and Hyde team on the road versus at home, and said their defense plays much better at home. If the Browns were at home, he’d be all over them. He didn’t love laying points with the Saints, and he wished they ran the ball better, but he said the spot was too brutal for the Browns to ignore.
Then there’s the quarterback. The guys said Deshaun Watson self-reported a concussion, and they don’t expect him to play. That puts the Browns’ backup quarterback under center, and Sean noted he hasn’t played at all this season. Ryan said Watson, for all his bad moments, is a lot better than the backup. He expects the Saints pass rush to win plenty of one-on-one battles against a quarterback who drops deep.
Ryan also said he was surprised by how many sharp handicappers were running to bet the Browns. In his words, you don’t bet on a team in a situation that terrible.
