Texas vs Missouri Odds
Texas was the 2.5-point favorite and the total sat at 42.5 when the guys taped on November 3. Missouri was +120 on the money line.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Missouri +2.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Missouri +2.5
- Colby Dant (@TheColbyD): Missouri +2.5
The segment opened on a question: is there a more obvious spot on the card? Missouri is at home, Texas is on a weird road trip, and the Tigers are getting two and a half points. Colby was already on Missouri.
His case started with Texas. He was not impressed with how it beat Mississippi State, thinks the run game is kind of trash and says there are a lot of questions about the team. He likes the Missouri defense at home and thinks Missouri has the better quarterback in this game.
The road trip came up again. The guys noted that Texas has only played one other game on an opponent’s campus, a 20-17 win over Tennessee that did not cover, and that its only other non-home game was a neutral-site loss to Oklahoma. They also expect Missouri to run the ball on Texas and said they cannot take Arch Manning as a road favorite against a good team in conference.
The last word was a quote passed along on air: “I’ve never felt better about Arch Manning than I do right now.” The guys heard a red flag in it and called Texas an ultimate fade job.
