Both of the guys came out on the Ravens, and they agreed the pick was supposed to feel uncomfortable. Ravens at Bills kicks off Sunday, November 1 at 1:00 PM ET in Orchard Park, NY. The Bills were 3-point favorites with a total of 54 when the guys taped on October 28, and they played Ravens +3 as the show’s close-your-eyes special. Here is the pick from the NFL Picks Week 8 episode.
Ravens vs Bills Odds
The Bills were 3-point favorites with a total of 54 when the guys taped on October 28.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Ravens +3
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Ravens +3
The number comes down to Lamar Jackson. The guys said this line is basically a Lamar number with a small adjustment, and that a backup quarterback would push it to a touchdown or more. They could not say which version of him they would get. One of the guys pointed out that a quarterback back from a high ankle sprain is rarely at full mobility, and mobility is what makes Lamar elite.
The Bills got a real case. Josh Allen does not lose many at home, the Bills are coming off a bye, and the guys thought the defense could look better with extra time to learn its scheme. They also cited the Trench Report, which gives Buffalo a big edge up front. That gave them plenty of reasons to lean Buffalo, and they said so.
The other side was the Bills defense. The guys called it bad against the pass, and said that in neutral game states it turns into the league’s worst run defense. With the Ravens receivers back, they expected the passing game to do damage in what could turn into a shootout.
Part of the segment was about the label itself. Someone had asked on YouTube whether a close-your-eyes special is graded off the opening line or the closing line. The guys put it to a poll, support slipped while they talked, and they took the Ravens anyway.
