The segment opened on a simple question: with Indiana’s secondary looking like a weak spot, is this an Ohio State blowout? Colby wasn’t buying it. Then one of the guys made the case against the premise entirely, noting Indiana has won 22 straight and is somehow a dog anyway.

Ryan heard that and stayed on Ohio State. His read is that Indiana hasn’t been playing at a high level lately and isn’t covering numbers. He was upfront that recency might be talking, since he laid it with Indiana last week. Colby said a terrible roughing the passer call wiped out an Indiana interception against Nebraska and probably cost them the cover.

Colby’s real case was the Ohio State pass defense. He said the fifth-in-the-nation ranking is cooked, that Texas left yards on the field with two drops, and that Illinois moved the ball at will in the first half and finished with 462 yards at the Shoe two weeks ago. He thinks Indiana’s receivers can exploit that, and getting more than a field goal sealed it. Jeremiah Smith came up as the reason betting against Ohio State is so miserable, but Cignetti as a home dog against Ryan Day was the line that closed out the Indiana side.
