Western Kentucky vs Sam Houston State Odds
Western Kentucky was a 2-point favorite over Sam Houston State, with a total of 52.5, when the guys taped on October 13.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Sam Houston State +2
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Sam Houston State +2
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Sam Houston State +2
Colby Dant’s case starts with the record, which he says is lying. Sam Houston State is 1-4, but in his telling they should have beaten Troy in the opener, had the ball inside the 10 with a chance to take Tulsa, and won a home game 59-0. He thinks Tulsa is a much better team than Western Kentucky, and he counts the long trip against the visitors. He also likes the over 52.5.
Sean pointed to the other side of the ball. Per the show, the Western Kentucky pass rush has only six sacks, so the Sam Houston State quarterback should get time to sit back and put up points. Sean’s road stat says Western Kentucky’s last true road win came against Louisiana Tech in October 2025. He liked Sam Houston State as a home dog.
Sean raised the worry on offense: Sam Houston State scored three points against Liberty, and Colby admitted he had locked them in that game and lost. His answer is that Phil Longo is an offensive coach and that Liberty spends far more money than Sam Houston State.
The rest was a tribute to Longo’s haircut. Ryan called it strong right angles and said that watching Longo work the sideline makes him a coach you’d want to play for, even if the results haven’t always followed. “Of course I’m on Sam Houston State,” he said.
