Both guys are on the Dolphins +7, and Ryan Kramer called it a judgment call right before making it anyway. Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Dolphins +7
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Dolphins +7
Ryan started with the bye week. With it coming up, he didn’t see why Cincinnati would rush its injured receivers back, and without Chase and Higgins he figured Joe Burrow has nobody obvious to lock in on. He called a recent Burrow interception very uncharacteristic and put it down to exactly that. He wasn’t blind to the other side: the Dolphins secondary is awful, and he said one healthy receiver would have flipped him to the Bengals. He expects neither back.
Sean granted that the Bengals are the better team and that Burrow has usually been good after two straight losses, 10-2-1 against the spread in the next game by his numbers. Then he described the trip. A banged-up team with a bye on deck goes to Miami in the heat and humidity and spends three hours tackling Ollie Gordon. He passed along a stat from a friend of the show, Bengals opponents at 3-9 against Dolphins opponents at 11-1, and Ryan pointed out the Dolphins supplied four of those losses themselves. Sean’s other trend has Miami 23-10 ATS as a home dog after two straight losses.
Sean watched Burrow’s press conference and saw no sense of urgency, which is part of why he warned anyone using the Bengals in Survivor to be careful. Ryan’s reluctance came from his own record here. He has joined Sean on the Dolphins the last three weeks and they are 1-2 in that stretch. Sean took that as proof they’re due.
