Ryan Kramer and Sean Green landed on opposite sides of Eagles vs Jaguars, and neither one gave an inch. The game kicks off Sunday, October 11 at 9:30 AM ET in London, England, and the Jaguars were 8-point favorites with a total of 42 when the guys taped on October 7. Sean is riding with his Eagles while Ryan lays the points, and the whole fight is on the NFL Picks Week 5 episode.
Eagles vs Jaguars Odds
The Jaguars were 8-point favorites over the Eagles with a total of 42 when the guys taped on October 7. Jacksonville is the designated home team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a neutral site.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Jaguars -8
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Eagles +8
Ryan opened by calling the number a massive adjustment for an Eagles team that still has the same quarterback. Sean took it from there. He thinks the Ravens overpaid with a second-round pick for Cam Jurgens, who he called a liability at guard, so losing him reads to Sean as addition by subtraction. Lane Johnson’s retirement hurts, he admitted, but he liked how Johnson’s replacement held up against the Rams.
Then it got louder. Sean called it a disrespectful line, the biggest spread ever for a London game, and leaned on the Eagles cornerbacks, Quinyon Mitchell among them, to slow Jacksonville down. He also tagged the Jaguars as a lookahead team already thinking about their second London game, with a division game right behind it. By the end he had the dog mask on. Hungry dogs run faster, apparently.
Ryan didn’t budge. He said the Eagles look a little cooked and that everyone is hurt, and after what he’d read about Jalen Hurts and the coaching staff, he wanted no part of a team that might not score. He’s laying the 8, likes Jacksonville as a teaser leg, and would lean under 42, picturing something like 23-9. Sean’s answer was Eagles 21-17, plus a reminder that 8 points goes a long way in a low-total game.
