North Carolina travels to Clemson to face the Tigers at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, September 19 at 12:00 p.m. ET, with Clemson favored by 3.5 and the total set at 43.5. The guys broke this one down on the College Football Picks Week 3 episode.
North Carolina vs Clemson Odds
Clemson is a 3.5-point home favorite over North Carolina as of this writing, with the total sitting at 43.5.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): North Carolina +3.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): North Carolina +3.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): North Carolina +3.5
All three landed on the same side, so this one is a unanimous North Carolina +3.5.
The guys just don’t trust Clemson right now. They pointed out that the Tigers are set to start a true freshman making his first career start, with the veteran starter banged up, and North Carolina counters with a veteran quarterback and a defensive line that can make life miserable on a young passer. That’s a tough spot to hand a first-timer on the road.
Clemson also hasn’t given anyone a reason to lay points. The guys noted a flat, non-covering win over Georgia Southern and the earlier blowout loss, and the conversation kept circling back to whether Dabo Swinney‘s seat is getting warm. Colby leaned hard into the chaos angle hanging over the program. When Ryan walked through the schedule ahead, nobody on the panel saw much relief coming for the Tigers.
That is why all three took North Carolina and the points, and the guys even floated the Tar Heels being live on the moneyline as the underdog.
