Chicagoland is back! NASCAR heads to the Windy City this weekend, but this time it’s not racing on the streets of the city; it’s back to the suburbs and the beautiful Joliet, Illinois. The 1.5-mile tri-oval was built in 2001. It hasn’t been repaved since, and the track has sat dormant since the Cup Series last graced it in 2019. Let’s dive in and take a look at this week’s NASCAR picks, odds, and best bets for the eero 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Alex Bowman was the last driver to take home the victory at Chicagoland back in 2019. Bowman, Denny Hamlin, and Brad Keselowski, who has won here twice, are the only active drivers to win Cup Series races at the track. Drivers in Sunday’s race who have not started a Cup Series race at the track include Christopher Bell, Ty Gibbs, Josh Berry, Chase Briscoe, Austin Cindric, Cole Custer, Todd Gilliland, Noah Gragson, Corey Heim, Riley Herbst, Austin Hill, Carson Hocevar, John Hunter Nemechek, Tyler Reddick, Zane Smith, Shane van Gisbergen, Cody Ware, and Connor Zilisch.

NASCAR Picks, Odds, and Best Bets: eero 400 at Chicagoland Speedway
Kyle Larson Top 5 (-120)
When it comes to this type of track, Kyle Larson is one of the first drivers that has to jump off the page to you. Tire wear isn’t expected to be a huge factor this week, but the track should race more like Homestead and Darlington with some wear and being able to “rip the top.”
Kyle Larson has back-to-back runner-ups at Chicagoland and those came from back in his #42 days.
Tested here this spring.
6.0 avg. finish at high-speed 1.5 + Darlington this year minus Texas.

Larson was amazing here in his Chip Ganassi days, did the test here earlier this season, and has run well at the 1.5-mile tracks this season, as Ryan at IFantasy Race points out above. While Larson has earned the moniker “Captain Shook” on the NASCAR Gambling Podcast amid his 40+ race winless streak, he’s actually found his stride as of late. Larson has four straight top five runs, and five top fives in the last six races overall. At similar tracks Kansas, Charlotte, and Michigan, he scored top five runs, as well as a seventh place finish in Las Vegas.
Brad Keselowski Top 10 (+175)
Keselowski’s past success here has to be tempered when viewing this track. Of course, those wins came in the old car, and with the #2 Team Penske Miller Lite Ford. However, he’s been strong this season at Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing. Including a second-place run at Darlington that really sticks out to me. My friends at wintherace.info ran 200k simulations of this weekend’s race. Keselowski finished top 10 36.6% of the time, leaving his fair market value right on the mark at +175.
Brad Keselowski is a 2-time Chicagoland winner and he’s actually vying for his 10th straight top ten in a row there.
This year at high-speed 1.5’s + Darlington, Keselowski has the 4th best average finish (9.2) and is tied for 10th in terms of Speed. One race I’ll highlight over…
— Ryan (@ifantasyrace) June 30, 2026
While it was with Team Penske, Keselowski’s nine-race streak of top 10 finishes at Chicagoland simply cannot go overlooked. This is a track Brad loves coming to, and as a driver just under the cut line for the Chase, he’ll be happy to be done with road courses and look up and see an old friend next on the schedule.
Tyler Reddick to Win (+550)
Tyler Reddick is the first driver that came to mind as I turned my attention to this beautifully worn racetrack. A rough surface, where they’ll be ripping the wall all evening. This is what Reddick lives for. While he hasn’t made any starts in the Cup Series here, Homestead and Darlington have been two of his best tracks. While the series won’t visit Homestead until later this year when they crown the champion, Tyler Reddick had one hell of a performance at Darlington earlier this year.
He had clearly the fastest car in the field by a country mile, and problem after problem, issue after issue was thrown at Reddick and his #45 team. They fought through all adversity that came their way, and he put that 23XI Toyota in victory lane. Over at Win The Race, Reddick comes in just behind his boss in the simulations, winning 22.2% of the 200k simulations. They put his fair market value at +351, making +550 a steal of a deal!
