Well, degens. Thursday night’s two-pack snack ended up containing one great pick and one throw-away entry. Thanks for nothing, John Tavares. Tonight there are two key matchups, both including teams who will need to win or else they head home. So let’s get back to business here and whip up a tasty banger for the readers and tailers. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for May 3.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for May 3
Gustav Nyquist Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Nashville Predators have shown quite a bit of Moxy in their first playoff series. After what looked to be a crippling meltdown in Game 4, they won Game 5 in Vancouver. On Friday night, we’re focusing on a Preds player who is no stranger to this daily article.
Centerman Gustav Nyquist dropped 75 points this season and has tallied four in five games of their playoff series. It just seems like when the Preds need a big moment, Nyquist is there to answer the call. Let’s get things rolling on Friday night with Gustav Nyquist Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Canucks in Game 6.
Brock Boeser Higher Than 0.5 Points
We’re going to keep our second NHL Underdog entry in Game 6 in Nashville, but turn to the Canucks side. Vancouver still has a little bit of wiggle room in this series. However, I am sure they’d much rather prefer to end things on Friday and not go to a Game 7. American winger Brock Boeser has found a different gear in this series.
Coming into Friday, Boeser has tallied five points in the series, with four goals and an assist. If I were a betting man, my money would be on finding Brock Boeser’s name on the box score tonight. So, it is time to put our money where our words are. Go ahead and take Brock Boeser Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Predators.
Wyatt Johnston Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Dallas Stars find themselves in a similar situation as the aforementioned Canucks. Friday night the Stars travel to Vegas for a Game 6 encounter and a little wiggle room. Since losing Games 1 and 2, the Stars have unplugged and then plugged themselves back in. A large part of the reboot’s success is the play of 20-year-old Wyatt Johnston.
The VGK don’t have an answer for Johnston, who’s tallied five points in the last three games of the series. He’s been active on the ice and peppering whichever netminder Vegas throws out there with over 4.5 shots per game.
This entry requires very little thought and really just the press of a button. We’re mashing Wyatt Johnston Higher Than 0.5 Points and cashing ourselves a Friday night banger!
