While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for Cage Warriors 208 from Newcastle, England for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Cage Warriors 208
Cage Warriors Featherweight Fight: Nik Bagley vs Aiden Lee
Card Start Time: Saturday (6/27), 1:30pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
At the top of this Cage Warriors card, we have a title fight between a champion with a near spotless record and a challenger who has largely been seen as a journeyman. Despite the differences in the record, this should be a close fight.
The reason this fight should be so close is the stylistic matchup. Both of these guys like to grapple, but in very different ways. Bagley is the superior wrestler and should be in control of where the fight goes. However, choosing to takedown Aiden Lee can be a mistake. He finds submissions on the way down and also has excellent scrambling. Give him 25 minutes to work and it’d be hard for him to not find a neck at some point.
With that, some might just suggest that Nik Bagley should keep the fight on the feet. The problem with that is that he’s at a four inch height disadvantage and the reach disparity should be even greater than that. Lee likes to throw push kicks to the chest and body, which can add up in a long fight.
With a natural advantage on the feet and plenty of danger on the mat, I like Lee to pull off the upset. The value is clearly all on that side in this fight.
