Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – April 23
Luka Doncic – Higher than 9.5 Rebounds
Going into game one, this projection was set at 8.5. We confidently looked to the ‘Higher than’ make due to both the end of his regular season and how he looked at the beginning of his last postseason. Not only did he beat the 8.5 number, but he blew it out of the water—going for 13 boards on the night.
He’s going to have something to prove after an otherwise ugly showing on Sunday. Between that and the fact that nobody has given up more rebounds over the last four games – you have to like the higher than again here.
T.J. McConnell – Lower than 10.5 Points
McConnell had some solid production in the first game of this series. He went for ten points, touching right up against this figure for game two. However, that was on some pretty poor shooting. He was 5-of-13 from the field and missed all three of his three-point attempts. I expect if this game stays a bit closer, we see more minutes and more production out of the Indiana starting lineup. If that’s the case, McConnell’s line will be one of the first to suffer.
Anthony Edwards – Higher than 2.5 Three-Pointers Made
Edwards was clearly feeling himself in game one on Saturday. He went for 33 points and seemed like he was ready to announce to the world just what this Minnesota team is made of. In doing so, he fired freely from deep. He made half of his eight attempts in that game, and, to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised to see even more attempts from him on Tuesday. If that’s the case, this make number will be child’s play.
