2024 NFL Draft Props Best Bets

NFL Draft week is upon us! The 2024 NFL Draft will take place this Thursday April, April 25th, in Detroit, Michigan. We’ve all seen the mock drafts, heard all the speculation, and know what player we hope our team picks. The NFL Draft prop betting market has become a bigger place each and every year, with hundreds of 2024 NFL Draft prop bets available.

2024 NFL Draft Props Best Bets

You can bet individual player’s draft positions, will they go over or under a certain draft spot. How many players from a position will be drafted in the 1st round? Players to be drafted in the top five or top ten. Head-to-head matchups, which player goes off the board first. Total players selected from a specific conference in the 1st round. The list goes on and on.

There’s not much suspense for the number over overall pick, with the Bears Trading Justin Fields, Caleb Williams appears to be locked in. After that, it’s a wide-open Draft with endless possibilities. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite 2024 NFL Draft prop bets.

Number 10 Pick Overall Rome Odunze (+700)

Should Rome Odunze fall this far in the NFL Draft? Absolutely not. The stud wide receiver from Washington should go well ahead of this pick. One thing you have to think of in the NFL Draft is the scenarios.

Let’s say 1-4 go chalk with the top three quarterbacks and Marvin Harrison. Five and six with the Chargers and Giants could easily take these next two receivers, but the Chargers could go offensive line, and the Giants go quarterback, or one of them could trade the pick.

I see the Titans at seven going offensive line and the Falcons going defense at eight. The Bears could go wide receiver or address the defense here. Suddenly, we’ve created a plausible situation where Odunze and maybe even Nabers are still on the board at pick number 10. Again, this isn’t the most likely outcome, but it’s very possible.

If Odunze is still on the board at pick number 10, Aaron Rodgers himself (a fellow who slid down the board farther than he should have a player) will run to the stage and enter this pick as fast as he can. There’s a lot of value at 7/1 here.

Total Wide Receivers Drafted in the 1st Round Over 6.5 (+180)

The 2024 NFL Draft could easily set the record for most offensive players drafted in the first round in NFL history. 19 is the current record, which has happened three different times. This class is loaded on the offensive side of the ball, some mock drafts have up to 25 first-round players being on the offensive side.

Part of that is wide receivers. This is a deep, wide receiver class, and many teams need receivers. While we made a case for Odunze to fall above, we could easily see three receivers go in the first six picks. In my NFL Mock Draft 2.0, I had eight wide receivers taken in the first round.

Another two receivers went in the first six picks of the second round. With the 49ers and Chiefs potentially needing receivers at the end of the round, there is potential someone trades up to grab the guy they want ahead of them as well.

Amarius Mims Draft Position Over 22.5 (-120)

Massive questions surround this massive man. 6-foot-7 and 340 lbs the Georgia tackle is a big powerful force. Mims is potentially one of the biggest boom-or-bust players in the draft.

Mims only started six games in college and faces big-time medical questions. In my most recent mock draft, I had him go number 25 to the Green Bay Packers, which I question now if he’ll even go that high. He’s a massive, both literally and figuratively gamble in this Draft. My gamble is he falls farther than 22.5 on the board.

Cooper DeJean Draft Position Under 22.5 (-125)

I’m going the opposite way on this one, which is set at the same number. Cooper DeJean is flying up boards, including mine. In mock 1.0, I had DeJean going at pick 22 to the Philadelphia Eagles. In mock 2.0, DeJean went at pick 15 to the Indianapolis Colts.

DeJean fractured his fibula in November, causing some concern about his readiness for draft prep. Unable to run at the combine or Iowa’s pro day, DeJean held his own private pro day when he was ready, and he impressed. Unofficially, he ran a 4.46 40-yard dash, and it looks like his healing process has gone well.

On the field, DeJean is an absolute monster. While his listed position is cornerback, he could likely also play safety at the pro level. Physicality, athleticism, and smart are just a few of the words used to describe DeJean. There are plenty of landing spots well ahead of pick 22, and I’d be surprised to see him fall past the Eagles there.

Quinyon Mitchell Drafted Ahead of Troy Fautanu (-115)

This is a head-to-head draft matchup that pits a defensive back in Mitchell up against the guard Fautanu. Mitchell is the favorite to be the first defensive back off the board. In my mock 2.0, I’ve got three defensive backs going in the first round before a guard goes off the board.

There seem to be more spots that need defensive back than interior linemen. Seattle at 16 is probably one of the earlier landing spots for guard, and in a lot of mock drafts, two or three defensive backs are already off the board. I don’t think it’s a guarantee that Fautanu goes before G/C Graham Barton either.
