SGPN Best Bet For March 19th

Dallas Mavericks vs San Antonio Spurs

Start Time – 8:00 pm EST

We get a battle of Texas on Tuesday night in San Antonio, with the very good Dallas Mavericks going up against the very bad San Antonio Spurs. But my best bet isn’t a play on the spread or the total – instead, I’m going with a player prop.

That player prop would be a fade on rookie star Victor Wembanyama’s point total. This is a bit of a gamble since he’s lived up to his considerable hype – and more – and the Mavericks’ defense is not very good. But I think a point total of 23.5 is a bit too high for Wembanyama. Scoring is down in the NBA over the past month, the big Frenchman is ‘only’ averaging 20.8 ppg for the season, and he’s only topped 23.5 points once in his last three games and twice in his last five.

Best Bet: Victor Wembanyama Under 23.5 Points (-110)
