The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for January 9

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for January 9

Monday was our first swing and miss here in 2024, as our Underdog picks went a lousy one for three. But, with a 10-game slate on deck Tuesday night, we’re saddling up and getting right back on the horse. The theme for tonight’s Quick Pick entries is points, points, and more points. So sit back and get ready to profit because we’re building a banger. Or, if you prefer the words of a wise Jedi master, “Do or do not, there is no try.” Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for January 9.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for January 9

Vince Dunn Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Seattle Kraken are starting to get it going and have won both games played here in the new year. Tuesday night, they begin a road trip in Buffalo, where surely they’ll feel good about snagging two points. 27-year-old defenseman Vince Dunn has put together a solid seven goals and 26 assists season.

And Tuesday night, he’ll ride a five-game point streak into the clash against the Sabres. His overall time on ice, specifically on the Power Play, makes this first NHL Underdog pick an attractive one. Go ahead and press Higher Than 0.5 Points for Vince Dunn in Buffalo.

Troy Terry Higher Than 0.5 Points

I really do like what I see from the Anaheim Ducks top-liners here in 2024. Although the team is sitting above only the Sharks, there are some bright spots.

For instance, American winger Troy Terry has strung together nine goals and 14 assists to date. Heading into Tuesday night’s matchup against Nashville, Terry has now tallied points in five of his last seven.

Additionally, Terry notched an assist and two shots on goal in a meeting with Nashville back in November. Let’s waive our American flags and trust in Colorado native Troy Terry tonight. We’re smashing the Higher Than 0.5 Points for Troy Terry against the Predators.

Blake Coleman Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Calgary Flames have an uphill climb if they intend to be a playoff team this season. The good news is that on Tuesday night, they return home after a four-game away trip to start 2024.

Veteran American centerman Blake Coleman has built himself a solid 15-goal and 15-assist season to date. He’s also logged six points in his last five games coming into Tuesday’s matchup against the Ottawa Senators.

And about two months ago, Coleman tallied a goal and six shots on the Senators’ net in Ottawa’s barn. Maybe keep that American flag waiving for our third NHL Underdog entry on Tuesday night.

We’ll take Blake Coleman to go Higher Than 0.5 Points on home ice against the Senators. Happy Cashing!

Best Ways to Build Your Tuesday Card

-Play all three players together using the “Standard” option on Underdog for a 6x winner

-Play all three players together using the “Insured” option on Underdog for a chance at a 3x winner for all three or a 1x winner for getting two out of three.
