Our first familiar face for Saturday’s NHL Underdog entry is Ottawa Senators winger Drake Batherson. The 2023 season is shaping up to be a fine one for Drake, with eight goals and 10 assists. And don’t look now, but Batherson comes into Saturday’s matchup against Detroit riding a four-game point streak.
It’s been a mix of both goals and assists during the streak, and tonight, he may just tally both. In fact, three weeks ago, Drake notched two assists against these same Red Wings. Drew Doughty Higher Than 0.5 Points
Our second familiar face on Saturday’s card will be veteran Kings defenseman Drew Doughty. Saturday night, Doughty and the Kings take a trip to Long Island for an encounter with the Islanders. Drew has been a tough customer on the road, having tallied eight of his 14 points on away ice.
But even more impressive, the LA Kings have not yet lost a road game in 2023. Drew carries a three-game point streak heading into tonight and has two points in his last four against NYI. Our third familiar face is playing in the nightcap on Saturday and is the pride and joy of Burnsville, MN. Brock Boeser is scorching hot with both a four-game assist streak and a six-game point streak. So when you see a spicy price on a guy with that recent form, you take a hammer to it and smash.
There really isn’t any other fancy-schmancy insight or hocus-pocus magic for this Brock Boeser pick. My doctor always said, “An apple a day,” and on Saturday night, that apple is banger-approved.
