The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for December 5

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for December 5

Do you ever ask yourself why do bad things happen to good NHL Underdog picks? Well, I sure do, especially after we laid a big fat goose egg on Monday night. The season’s successful pick rate only sustained minor injuries, though, falling to 60%. Luckily, degens have a quick turn-around to an eight-game NHL slate on Tuesday night. So, let’s try to channel our inner Ted Lasso and be a goldfish because, on Tuesday night, we’re building a banger! Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for December 5.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for December 5

Adam Fox Higher Than 0.5 Points

Coming into Tuesday night, the New York Rangers are leading the NHL in win total with 18 on the season. It could be a bit scary, as they have been able to continue winning without their 25-year-old defenseman. After about a three-week layoff, Adam Fox is only beginning to work his way back up to speed.

Fox has tallied four points all by way of the assist in his last three games. The Rangers blue-liner has also registered four points in six games across his last two seasons against the Senators. With a Fox on the scent, let’s hunt for a point with our first NHL Underdog entry on Tuesday. Take the Higher Than 0.5 Points for New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox.

Lucas Raymond Higher Than 0.5 Points

Another Tuesday. Another Sabres home game. And another NHL Underdog pick for a player skating for the opposing team. I mean no disrespect to Lucas Raymond, as he’s been on a tear in late November and early December. I do, however, mean this as more of a fade of the abysmal Sabres and leverage their Swiss Cheese defense.

Raymond has nine points over his last nine games and gets a shot at a tenth on Tuesday in Buffalo. Detroit’s scored five in back-to-back games, while the Sabres have conceded six in two of their last three. Tuesday night’s second NHL Underdog pick is a new episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. Go ahead and press the Higher Than 0.5 Points for Lucas against Buffalo.

Frank Vatrano Higher Than 0.5 Points

What do you say we round out Tuesday’s banger with a favorite familiar face here on The Quick Pick? Anaheim is already too far back to make any noise this year, but Vatrano is more than earning his paycheck. The Ducks winger is up to 14 goals and nine assists in 2023, and on Tuesday, he’ll be in Colorado.

Frank just tallied an assist against the Avs on home ice three days ago. And looking back to last season, Vatrano tallied an impressive five points in three games against Colorado. Let’s be Frank with our third NHL Underdog entry on Tuesday night and demand a point. Mash that Higher Than 0.5 Points for Frank Vatrano and let’s knock in this banger!
