The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for November 14
MacKenzie Weegar Higher Than 0.5 Points (1.25X Odds)
Utilizing the veteran Calgary Flames defenseman in this spot may feel like a big swing early in the count. However, a quick look at his numbers shows that Weegar has registered four of his six points against Canadian teams. Tuesday night, he’s in Montreal, playing a team conceding about four goals against per game in the month of November. Weegar’s time on ice and power-play usage, paired with Montreal’s poor PK, bodes well for this first pick. Let’s grab the big stick and take a home run cut on MacKenzie Weegar Higher Than 0.5 Points.
Frank Vatrano Higher Than 0.5 Points
By now, loyal readers are aware of the man-crush I have on utilizing Frank Vatrano as an NHL Underdog entry. It just so happens that he lands in solid matchups and is one of my best picks on any given night. Tuesday night, the Ducks head to Nashville, and Vatrano is coming off a three-point performance on Sunday.
He now gets a shot at the Predators, who just conceded seven goals to the Arizona Coyotes. Vatrano’s been lethal on offense this season, while Nashville sits in the bottom half of most significant defending stats. Go once more into the fray with Frank Vatrano and take Higher Than 0.5 Points on Tuesday night!
Tyler Toffoli Higher Than 0.5 Assists (1.25X Odds)
With the Devils high profile stars on the sidelines with injuries, Tyler Toffoli has really picked up his game. He’s doing his share of the heavy lifting, with eight goals and six assists across 13 games in 2023. Toffoli has also tallied three assists in his last five games against tougher competition in the Western Conference.
He will have to deal with another tough customer in the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night. But, with a little bit of spice at 1.25X odds, Toffoli is most certainly worth taking a flyer on. Throw out the manual, just go with your gut, and press that Higher Than 0.5 Assists on Tyler Toffoli.
