Rodolfo Vieira – $9,300
$9,300 might seem like a high price for a fighter non-hardcore UFC fans might not have heard of, but Rodolfo Vieira shouldn’t be an under-the-radar name in the sport for much longer. A highly decorated grappler, his jiu-jitsu is next level stuff, and it’s translated perfectly to mixed martial arts, where he’s a perfect 7-0, all via finishes (1 TKO, 6 submissions). Look for him to finish Anthony Hernandez on Saturday and earn our UFC 258 DraftKings roster big points.
Belal Muhammad – $9,200
Belal ‘Remember the Name’ Muhammad doesn’t post spectacular DFS numbers, but he’s a solid, reliable play every time he steps in the cage. He averages just over 70 FPPF per outing, and even posted a 63 in his only loss in his last eight fights. He’s a big favorite over Dhiego Lima at UFC 258, so I’m counting on a nice fantasy night for him.
Miranda Maverick – $8,500
It hurts to go against a fellow Canadian in Gillian Robertson (who is Maverick’s opponent on Saturday), but I’m really liking Miranda Maverick in the curtain jerker on Saturday night. Her strength and physicality is unmatched, and she’s a better striker than Robertson. M&M posted about 109.6 FPPF in her UFC debut, and I think she can do the same this weekend with another TKO victory.
Maycee Barber – $7,900
Barber lost her last fight, her only pro loss, and also tore up her knee, putting her on the shelf for over a year. I expect her to bounce back on Saturday against Alexa Grasso in the co-main event. Her physicality, strength, athleticism and toughness have acted as a sort of “cheat code” for her in the past and I’m counting on her to post close to her 84.0 FPPF mark on Saturday.
Andre Ewell – $7,800
‘Mr. Highlight’ is an underdog in his fight against Chris Gutierrez, but I’m going with him here (basically I ran out of money on my UFC 258 DraftKings lineup and he’s the best option, but don’t tell him and hurt his feelings). He’s got a massive eight-inch reach advantage over Gutierrez, and put up a very solid 81 points his last fight, so that’s good enough for me. Oh, and ‘Mr. Highlight’ is a moniker that indicates we should expect a big point explosion.
Jim Miller – $7,300
Veteran Jim Miller is a big underdog in his fight against Bobby Green, but I like him to win and I like him to earn our UFC 258 DraftKings lineup some decent fantasy points for a reasonable price. That’s because there’s a very clear path for victory for Miller – take Green down and tap him out (or, at the very least, ground out a victory). Miller is a very strong wrestler and an elite grappler, while Green gets taken down every fight he’s in.
