The NCAA Championship is set with Virginia facing off against Texas Tech. You will find multiple experts breaking down the game and making predictions on who will cut down the nets on Monday night. This article will be a little different focusing on prop bets I think you’ll find some value in. These numbers are courtesy of the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.
NCAA Championship Prop Bets
• Total 3 Point Field Goals Made By Both Teams: Over 13.5
This seems like a high total considering the lack of scoring expected in the game. However, when you look closer neither team has very much of an inside game. I think the majority of the shots will come from long distance. On the season, Virginia averages eight made 3’s per game and Texas Tech averages seven made 3’s per game. Value Bet: Over 13.5 Total Made 3 Point Field Goals
• Largest Lead of the Game By Either Team: Under 11.5
Both teams are outstanding defensively but can struggle at times on the offensive end. In a game of this magnitude, both teams will be locked in on defense which will make this a physical and close game throughout. Value Bet: Under 11.5 Largest Lead of the Game By Either Team
• Total Free Throws Made By: Jarrett Culver (Texas Tech) Over 3.5
Culver will be the best player on the court and is a future NBA Lottery pick. He struggled shooting the ball against Michigan State and will look to get in a rhythm early and often. One way to do that is to try and get to the rim and get to the free throw line. Expect Culver to be aggressive in his last college game and with the National Championship on the line. Value Bet: Jarrett Culver (Texas Tech) Over – 3.5 Made Free Throws
• Total Free Throws Made By: De’Andre Hunter (Virginia) Over 2.5
De’Andre Hunter, much like Jarrett Culver, needs to be aggressive. Texas Tech big man Tariq Owens has been a stud in the tournament, but he sprained his ankle in the Michigan State game and will not be 100 percent. Hunter is a NBA prospect and a physical specimen with the ability to dominate on the offensive end. When Virginia is not firing up shots from long range, Hunter will do some damage in the paint. Value Bet: De’Andre Hunter (Virginia) over – 2.5 Made Free Throws
• Total Rebounds by: De’Andre Hunter ( Virginia) Over 4.5
The amount of rebounds for Hunter seems intriguing when you consider the injury to Tariq Owens and the great overall defense of Virginia. Neither team is going to shoot well which means a lot of missed shots and rebounding opportunities for Hunter. Value Bet: De’Andre Hunter (Virginia) over – 4.5 Rebounds
