Friday was a banner night for our NRFI plays. Not only did we hit both plays, but only one half inning saw more than three batters come to plate – and that was just four. Now, we have some NRFI bets for June 20.

Saturday has games that run from 1pm until midnight, and we dug through all that action to come up with some winners. Come check out what we have cooked up for this slate of games.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – June 20

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves

First Pitch – 4:10 pm EST
Truist Park – Atlanta, GA
Broadcast – MLB TV

The Brewers are first to the plate in this NRFI action and they aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire recently. They’ve scored just 19 runs over their last five games and are fresh off a game with the Braves where they scored just two. That includes 6.0 innings of Martin Perez, who allowed only one run and struck out five. That task gets twice as hard when they take on Chris Sale on Saturday. The 2024 Cy Young winner enters action with a 2.30 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 78.1 innings. He’d be a good candidate for an NRFI with an All-Star team hitting, so the slow hitting Brewers shouldn’t be an issue.

Speaking of teams that are hitting poorly as of late, the Braves enter this weekend on a nasty skid. They have just 14 runs scored in their last five games (or 2.80 runs per game). Missing Ronald Acuna Jr, Michael Harris, and Sean Murphy – the Braves are struggling to get things going, especially early. They rank well below league average in the first inning, especially lately. Now they’ll need to deal with Kyle Harrison, who has a 2.47 ERA. Not only that, but he has fanned 80 batters in 65.2 innings pitched. Look for him to keep things clean in the first.

NRFI/YRFI Bet for June 20: No (TBD)

Los Angeles Angels vs. Athletics

First Pitch – 10:05 pm EST
Sutter Health Park – Sacramento, CA
Broadcast – MLB TV

The Angels are yet another team that can’t buy a run lately. They’ve scored just one run in their last two games and 14 total over the last five. In those five games, seven of those runs came in one game – which leaves the rest looking even worse. Now they’ll get JT Ginn, who has been really good for the Athletics. He’s allowed two or less earned runs in seven of his last eight starts, bringing his ERA down to 2.91 in the process.

Then, to close out the NRFI, Walbert Urena gets the ball. He’s actually been a touch better than JT Ginn on the year. His ERA sits at just 2.60 over 62.1 innings and he already has 58 strikeouts. It was April the last time he allowed more than three runs in a game. The Athletics have solid stats on the year, but they are largely inflated by some Vegas games. Back in Sacramento, I expect them to look human and Urena should handle that.

NRFI/YRFI Bet for June 20: No (TBD)
