“Lay it with the Arizona Wildcats.” That was the last word of the segment, and all three of the guys were on it. Arizona and UCLA meet on Monday, November 2 at 7:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM ET in Las Vegas, NV, and Arizona was a 4.5-point favorite when the guys taped on October 29. This is the clip from the College Basketball Picks episode.
Arizona vs UCLA Odds
Arizona was the favorite at 4.5 points when the guys taped on October 29. UCLA was the underdog getting the points.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Arizona -4.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Arizona -4.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Arizona -4.5
The segment started with the guys joking that the two schools ought to share a conference, then got down to business. Colby asked Ryan whether UCLA or Arizona is the football program. Ryan’s answer was UCLA, because they have a coach now who is worth watching.
On the court, Colby said both rosters are talented and he has no great handicap on the matchup. His case was that Arizona just starts the season better, and that Mick Cronin will get outcoached by Tommy Lloyd. Someone noted that UCLA tends to find itself later in the season when it has had its better years.
The guys also leaned on the setting. They said Arizona has won its last five in Vegas, and they figured the arid climate helps. Colby added that Arizona’s pace has been an issue for Cronin, and he wanted UCLA to prove it has changed that.
Ryan’s last point was about focus. He thinks UCLA is more likely to be distracted by its football team, while Arizona is always a basketball program first. Then all three laid it.
