Colby led off by giving Bethune Cookman credit. He called Bethune Cookman the preseason favorite to win the SWAC, with NIL money helping bring in talent. He said the team returns one of its better players and adds 11 transfers and two freshmen.
Then he turned to Furman. By his count the Paladins have eight players back from a team that was pretty good last year, and he liked them in their home state. Sean put the trip at only about an hour. Somewhere in there the guys spent a minute on the Paladin logo, which they thought looked ill and ready to slay a vermin.
The price looked short to them. Colby said the line reeks a little, and when the guys projected their own numbers they figured Furman should be laying more than 3.5. All three still took the Paladins.
