Oakland vs Michigan Odds

Michigan was a 25-point favorite over Oakland when the guys taped on October 29, 2026.

Our Picks

Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Oakland +25
Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Oakland +25
Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Oakland +25

The segment started with the coaching change. Colby brought up the news that Dusty May left Michigan after winning a national championship, and said he was surprised by it. He liked Mike Boynton, who was on the staff, as a coach, and he was glad to see Boynton get a second shot in Ann Arbor. Colby still expects Michigan to be pretty good, though he wondered about the drop-off.

One of the guys pointed out that Michigan lost three first round picks from last year’s team. Even if the Wolverines replace some of that, he said, it is a lot of high-level production to lose, and 25 points is a lot to ask against an in-state rival.

Colby agreed the points were the play. He said everyone kind of loves Oakland’s coach, who has been at it since the 1980s, and that the junior college transfers he brings in are usually pretty good. His read was that 25 is a big number and Michigan wins by about 20.

Ryan had one more reason. He is always a little skeptical when the next head coach is the guy off the bench, especially at a program coming off a title. Between that and the size of the number, he said, take the big number.
