Bo Nix and his Denver Broncos head to Los Angeles to face Justin Herbert and the Chargers. It’s a battle of AFC West teams as they battle for position atop the division, while Kansas City has started 0-2. Let’s jump in and take a look at this Broncos-Chargers preview and predictions.
Denver started the year out with a scare at home against a bad Tennessee Titans team, but they outlasted them in the end, winning 20-12. In Week 2, they met the buzz saw that has been the Indianapolis Colts and Daniel Jones. After it looked like they had the game won, a late questionable penalty call gave the Colts another chance to steal the win away.
Los Angeles went down to Brazil to start the season and handled business against the juggernaut Kansas City Chiefs, handing them their first loss of the year. Last week was another road spot, where they went to Las Vegas and took care of business against the other AFC West team.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers Preview and Predictions
Omarion Hampton Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Jonathan Taylor ran all over this Broncos defense last week. Patrick Surtain will be occupied trying to cover one of the Chargers’ three electric wide receivers, while the rest of the secondary deals with the others. This will open up the running game. While Hampton is no Taylor yet, and he’ll split time with Harris, just 40 yards should be no problem for the back who had 48 yards against the Chiefs in Week 1.
Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 (-115)
This should be yet another tough-fought game on Sunday. Division rivals that always play each other tough. Los Angeles had the Broncos’ number in 2024, winning both games against Denver. They won 23-16 on the road in Week 6. Then followed it up with a 34-27 victory at home late in the year in Week 16.
Los Angeles has looked the part in year two of Jim Harbaugh through two weeks, and it might be time to accept that this Chargers team is the real deal and a weekly contender. Give me the Chargers at home by less than a field goal.
