Indiana Pacers vs Charlotte Hornets

Start Time – 7:00 PM EST

I’m going to trust my numbers here because they’ve been serving me well thus far (small sample size, but still). And, surprisingly, my numbers tell me that this game should be lined up as Charlotte -3.

Yet, we’re being offered Charlotte +7. This is too big of a discrepancy to not make a play on this one. The key pieces here are that Charlotte is at home, which is worth four extra points on average in the NBA, and while their offense isn’t on Indiana’s level, their defense is better. And Indiana is quite banged up, with several key players either out or iffy for Friday.

Best Bets: Charlotte +7 (-110)

Milwaukee Bucks vs New York Knicks

Start Time – 7:30 PM EST

Newsflash – the Milwaukee Bucks stink. I didn’t have high hopes for them this season, but they aren’t even living up to the low standards I set for them. And while their 3-4 record doesn’t show it, the New York Knicks have been one of the league’s best teams.

Considering they are playing at home at Madison Square Garden and that the Bucks played on Thursday night (a win, but over Utah), the line here could be as high as New York -17. I’ll take my chances on Knicks -7.5 for sure.
