The guys called the Raiders a “close your eyes special,” the kind of bet you make by not looking too hard at what happened in Week 5. The Bills visit the Raiders on Sunday, October 18 at 4:25 PM ET in Las Vegas, NV, and Buffalo was a 4.5-point favorite with a total of 53 when the guys taped on October 14. Both hosts landed on Las Vegas in the NFL Picks Week 6 episode.

Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Raiders +4.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Raiders +4.5
The setup is what sold it. By the show’s count, the Raiders missed the spread by more than 21 points in their last game, and the guys said their close your eyes specials sit at two and two on the year, with one loss they blamed on the Eagles and the Saints loss chalked up as a fugazi result. Buffalo, meanwhile, is on short rest after an overtime walk-off win over a good team, staying in Irvine before the trip to Vegas, in a back-to-back road spot with the bye coming up next.
On the field, the case for Las Vegas starts with Kirk Cousins throwing against a Bills defense the guys said has let pretty much everyone move the ball. They also liked the Raiders’ linebackers to keep Josh Allen’s running in check, and pointed out that Allen hasn’t been throwing it well. The pushback was that a struggling quarterback has already found his form against the Raiders this year, and if Buffalo hits the same kind of explosive plays, the bet is in trouble.
The bigger fear is the run game. The guys noted the Bills rank first in yards before contact and the Raiders rank last. With Buffalo missing its right tackle, as Sean noted, and Maxx Crosby on the other side, running the ball is the easy answer for the Bills, and a blowout would probably look like a huge day for their running back. Not seeing many edges for the Raiders only made it a better close your eyes special, in Ryan’s view, since too many people had liked the Saints the week before.
