Laying 12.5 points in a division game is not anybody’s idea of comfort, and Sean Green said so before he did it anyway. The Rams were 12.5-point favorites over the Cardinals with a total of 52 when the guys taped on October 14, for a game that kicks off Sunday, October 18 at 4:05 PM ET in Inglewood, CA. Both hosts ended up on the big favorite on the NFL Picks Week 6 episode.
Cardinals vs Rams Odds
The Rams were 12.5-point favorites with a total of 52 when the guys taped on October 14.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Rams -12.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Rams -12.5
Sean thinks Arizona’s reputation for hanging around is mostly an illusion. He called them “fake spunky”: the late passing yards pile up and look great in fantasy, but they are garbage-time stats, not garbage-time covers. He also had the McVay numbers ready. Per the show, Sean McVay is 33-23 against the spread after a loss and 16-3 straight up, 14-4-1 ATS, against the Cardinals, and Sean flagged a big mismatch in the trenches on top of that.
The only real case for Arizona he could find was up front for Los Angeles. Sean said the Rams are missing their left tackle, who threw a punch after their overtime loss to the Bills, and the guys spent a few minutes on that, none of it flattering to him.
Ryan didn’t need much convincing. He pointed to the Cardinals’ last game, where Detroit started badly, Arizona got on the board, and it still turned into a dumpster fire. He said the Rams’ defense will spot the same thing he noticed, that you just blitz this quarterback, and win this one big, with a defensive touchdown in play. When Sean made it official (“Doesn’t feel great, but my God, Cardinals are just so bad”), Ryan’s answer was that it feels fine.
