Indiana vs Nebraska Prediction & Picks: College Football Week 6

Sean Green was the only one of the three who went against Indiana, and he had a reason. Indiana visits Nebraska on Saturday, October 10 at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET in Lincoln, NE, and Indiana was a 7.5-point favorite with a total of 50.5 when the guys taped on October 6. Sean took the Huskers and the points because he thinks Nebraska gives its best effort at home and a two-score deficit leaves the back door open. Ryan and Colby both laid it with Indiana. The whole slate is on the College Football Picks Week 6 episode.

Indiana vs Nebraska Odds

Indiana was a 7.5-point road favorite over Nebraska with a total of 50.5 when the guys taped on October 6. On air they read the money line at Indiana -315 and Nebraska +250.

Our Picks

Sean admitted the pick “stinks.” He has watched plenty of Indiana and calls them obviously good, but he doubted they could cover a road number this size. The guys noted Indiana came in 1-4 against the spread, with the lone cover coming last week, and Ryan added that Nebraska was 4-1 ATS, the kind of split the guys usually lean into in the NFL. Sean also pushed back on the lookahead talk: Nebraska is not looking past an undefeated Indiana team the guys called the national champs.

Ryan was stuck for a while. Indiana has Ohio State next, which he called “lookahead city,” and a noon kick on a long road trip didn’t help. He also kept saying Nebraska’s head coach is terrifying to bet on against good teams and tends to come apart in exactly this kind of game. Sean called him out for arguing both sides. Ryan landed on Indiana, figuring Cignetti is too good at motivating his players to fall into a lookahead spot.

Colby was all in on Indiana from the start. He noted Nebraska has a trip to Oregon on deck, so if this is a lookahead spot it cuts both ways. He brought up the 56-7 score from Cignetti’s first year against Nebraska, and said he watched the Huskers struggle into the fourth quarter against Ohio in the opener and again against Maryland last week before pulling away. He doesn’t think Nebraska is a good football team, and in Big Ten play he says Cignetti always brings his A game, pointing to Rutgers last week as the proof.
