Sean opened with the case against his own side. In his telling, Mike Elko hasn’t been good against the spread coming off a loss. Then he set it aside. LSU is coming off a loss of its own, Sean couldn’t trust them to win by double digits, and he still sees some fight in this A&M team. Getting out of town might even help, and he expects Elko to have his players fired up by the time they reach Baton Rouge.

One of the guys brought up Elko’s press conference after the loss, where the coach blamed his offense, his staff, his players and himself, and said he shouldn’t even collect a check. That same voice wasn’t sure how good LSU really is after watching how bad Clemson has looked, and called A&M live on the money line.

Kramer stood alone on LSU. He had come across a note that Lane Kiffin is 3-0 straight up against Elko, which sent him wondering how Elko has fared against Kiffin’s offense. The record drew an objection: one of those games was really Duke’s team, played after Elko had already left for the new job. Kramer didn’t budge. A&M looked horrible last week, he’ll lay it with LSU, and he told Sean he thinks the national championship pick is doing the talking.
