Philadelphia 76ers vs New York Knicks
Start Time – 8:00 PM EST
It’s from one grudge match series into another for the Philadelphia 76ers, who just got done dispatching their rivals, the Boston Celtics, in seven games. Now it’s the short hop to Madison Square Garden to take on the hated New York Knicks.
The good news is that both teams appear to be healthy heading into Game 1. I expect the rested Knicks to get the jump on the series and take the first game on their home floor. My line is New York -10, so the Knicks will cover the spread as well.
Best Bet: New York -7 (-110)
Minnesota Timberwolves vs San Antonio Spurs
Start Time – 9:30 PM EST
The Minnesota Timberwolves, on the other hand, are not healthy heading into their second-round series against the San Antonio Spurs. It appears like star Anthony Edwards will miss at least the first couple of games against the Spurs, key reserve Ayo Dosunmu is questionable for Monday’s action, and Donte DiVincenzo is out for a year.
Yet, the Wolves showed against the Denver Nuggets that they can persevere. And I think the spread for Monday is too wide. My line is San Antonio -13, so let’s take the Wolves plus the points.
Best Bet: Minnesota + 13.5 (-110)
